Our advice stands out for the knowledge we have of criminal proceedings in practice
and the consequences that can be expected.
A key part of what we do is centred on the work of the defence lawyer during all stages of
proceedings, including main hearings and appeals. We have extensive experience of arrests and compulsory measures such as searches and seizures.
We represent the interests of injured parties, i.e. victims of criminal offences, and other parties such as companies who are affected by confiscations, or support our clients as legal counsel.
A specific group of our clients include colleagues in the legal profession who often face unfair
accusations under criminal law and in terms of their professional rights.
Another broad area of our work is to advise companies on aspects of criminal law and criminal proceedings and the coordination of the general protection of interests allowed under the law (of a company and/or a group) and criminal defence of individuals (e.g. board of management, directors or other executive employees). This is where we make use of Prof. Dr. Holger Matt’s excellent
connections with colleagues who specialise in criminal defence nationally and worldwide. For all other matters outside criminal law, we work with a selection of specialist lawyers, accountants and
tax consultants.
